WHAT IS MICRONEEDLING?

MicroNeedling therapy leads to smoother, fresher and younger-looking skin. It’s a minimally invasive procedure that initiates the body’s natural healing response. The results include increased production of collagen and elastin, enhanced absorption of serums, hyaluronic acid and platelet rich plasma (PRP) that stimulate healing.

Microneedling is an effective tool in anti-aging skin care. Microneedling lifts and tightens the skin while providing texture improvement and scar treatment for all ages and skin types. With microneedling you get smoother and younger looking skin without the side effects or downtime of cosmetic surgery and lasers.

What Imperfections Can Be Treated With Microneedling?

Innovative and effective, Microneedling activates cellular regeneration to help tighten and lift skin, while minimizing common skin problems such as acne scars, fine lines, dull skin, poor texture and much more. MicroNeedling is used for skin revitalization and hair regeneration. See the complete list of imperfections treated with Microneedling below.

How Does Microneedling Improve The Skin’s Appearance?

Microneedling rapidly creates a pattern of micro channels in the treatment area. These micro channels significantly increase the production of collagen and elastin to leave the skin smoother, fresher, and more uniform. Micro channels also enhance the skin’s ability to absorb medical grade topicals, like anti-aging serums and skin lighteners, when applied during or immediately after the treatment.

Microneedling with Platelet Rich Plasma Therapy (PRP)

WHAT IS PRP?

Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) Therapy
Platelet Rich Plasma is a concentration of platelets in the blood that are crucial to wound healing. When used for skin rejuvenation, PRP releases growth factors and cytokines into the skin to expedite the body’s own repair process and stimulate new collagen and elastin.

What does the procedure entail?
A small blood sample is taken from your own body and the PRP is separated from the other components. The PRP is then topically applied to the skin immediately following a micro-needling procedure. The micro-channels created by micro-needling provide direct pathways to the deeper layers of skin for optimal wound healing. Micro-needling with PRP application is an ideal treatment for smoothing fine lines, wrinkles, and scars or even increasing plumpness and overall rejuvenation of the skin.

PRP’s Effects Are Lasting
That’s because the plasma stimulates their skin’s stem cells to produce more collagen, grow new cells and literally rejuvenate your skin. The new cell growth in your skin generated by the Platelet Rich Plasma takes weeks to months, which is why it looks so much better after more time passes. The FDA has not imposed regulations on the use of PRP because it come from the patient’s own body and is not a drug.

PRP Topically vs. The Vampire Facelift (Injections)
Topically applying PRP enables it to get into more planes in the skin, compared to injections where the PRP is isolated to the injected area. Thus the micro needling allows PRP to get into the skin more evenly affecting the total face rather than secluded sections.

Additionally with topical application of PRP there is less pain and “down time” compared to injections. The treatment method is completely safe and ideal for all skin types.

PRP to minimize scars and stretch marks
The micro needling based procedure is also producing great results in terms of minimizing the appearance of both scarring and stretch marks:
• Scarring: The micro needling is used to break up the fibrous tissues of the scar and the PRP spurs the growth of healthy tissue.
• Stretch Marks: The micro needling creates damage over the thinned skin of the stretch mark. PRP then promotes growth of thicker skin.

Enhancing other treatments
PRP can also enhance the results other kinds of facial rejuvenation treatments such as CO2 laser resurfacing. The growth factors in PRP increase the effectiveness of these procedures by further helping to tighten the skin. Also the addition of PRP dramatically reduces healing time of the skin.
